ABOUT SUBHAVAARTHA TELEVISION
With the increasing popularity of the programmes produced by Goodnews Television and with a view to eliminating the constraints and limitations of buying paid timeslots in different channels, we felt the need to have our own independent 24 hour channel. This channel has a clear vision of broadcasting programmes on various themes such as spiritual, education, environment, home maker, travel and health & fitness.
LAUNCH PAD
To achieve this purpose, Goodnews Television recently became a private limited company, renamed itself Goodnews Television Channel Pvt. Ltd and launched this new channel in Telegu. It was christened xSubhavaarthax which literally means xGoodnewsx in Telugu, the second largest spoken language in India. This channel utilises the INSAT 2E satellite, which has an Asian footprint. The response to the channel has been highly encouraging and several popular gospel ministries and pastors have already booked timeslots in the new channel. Our future plans include starting similar channels in other Indian languages.
CAMERA FOCUS
India is a country with more than 100 million people and 90% of its population is not familiar with Jesus Christ, Saviour of the world. We want the message of Goodnews to reach every person in this country. With issues such as terrorism, militancy, hatred, moral degradation, decline of values, etc., threatening to destroy the very fabric of human civilization, we believe we can do our bit to bring about a change by spreading the message of Goodnews through the medium of television. Since we are the only technically qualified people in the country with vast experience to operate an independent TV channel, we believe our vision of reaching the unreached can be attained successfully.
SOLID FOUNDATION
The Goodnews Television established and run by a father-son duo of professionally qualified technocrats serves as a unique and solid foundation for the Subhavaartha channel. Having been brought up in a family with a tradition of high Christian values, both Nehru Dhyriam and Ashvin Dev have ventured to put their technical expertise into television and broadcasting technology in order to spread the message of Goodnews to as many people as possible through this television.
DUAL TECHNOLOGY
 Mr. D. Nehru Dhyriam, is a Graduate in film Technology, Chennai and has been involved in film production for the past thirty-five years. His rich technical knowledge in all aspects of Film/Television making is the main asset to Goodnews Television. Till recently, he was Chief Producer, Government of Tamilnadu Film and TV Division, Adyar, for over two decades. He is also widely known in Christian circles, and accepted leader in TV/Film circles, at state and national level. He was mainly instrumental in initiating many others too into TV Ministry. Being a highly committed, motivated person, Mr. D. Nehru Dhyriam, is also an advisor for UPSC, New Delhi, in TV related IT.
Ashvin Dev, son of Mr. D. Nehru Dhyriam has done regular course in Film and Television Institute at Adyar and also underwent advanced Training at Cross Roads - Burlington (Canada). He was invited by Cross Roads as a producer and Host to participate in Expo-2000 at Hannovar, Germany.
He is a Free Lance News producer, currently retained by CBS 60 Minutes II News, New York, USA. He is also on the board of visual communication in various universities in media related subject. He was the Director of National Institute of Television Technology where more than 150 students were trained, who are now gainfully placed, all over India and abroad in different fields of production.
